About Project
This project traces the history of trade unionism and the development of industrial relations in Singapore. It covers the period from pre-World War II to the 1980s and includes interviews with Professor Lim Chong Yah, former chairman of the National Wages Council, and S R Nathan, former director of the Labour Research Unit, National Trades Union Congress.
