These interviews come from the Imperial War Museum, UK, conducted between the 1970s and early-2000s. Most are of experiences of British soldiers and commanders who became prisoners of war. Others include British civilians, Japanese (military personnel, civilian and government officials) and Gurhkas. There are also Singaporean politicians such as Lee Kuan Yew, Othman Wok and Dr Toh Chin Chye. There are some recordings of public broadcasts, including then British Prime Minister Winston Churchill after the fall of Singapore. Other noteworthy coverage include Singapore in the 1920s to 1930s, Chinese communists in Malaya and the Maria Hertogh riots.
