The map, constructed on an azimuthal equidistant projection, shows parts of South East Asian countries, which are Malaya, part of Indonesia (showing part of Sumatra), most of Siam (Thailland), part of French Indo-China, and Burma, India, part of China, part of Union of Soviet Socialist  Republics, Pakistan, Bhutan, Nepal, Ceylon (Sri Lanka), Afghanistan, Iran, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Yemen, Aden Protectorate, Eritrea, Somaliland, French Somaliland, British Somaliland, parts of Iraq and Saudi Arabia in Asia, parts of Ethiopia, and Kenya in Africa, Tibet, Himalayas, capitals, towns (and cities), main railways, main roads, spot heights (in metres), international boundaries, levels of land indicated by tints between sea level, 500 metres, 1000 metres, 3000 metres, 5000 metres, 7000 metres and above, rivers, lakes, Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea, Red Sea, Caspian Sea and others. Also shown are three bar scales, in nautical miles, kilometres and statute miles, and notes pertaining to linear measurments on the map.
