A New Chart of the Eastern Straits (to the East of Java), With a Part of the Banda Sea

The hydrographic chart, shows soundings in the Flores Sea, Indonesia, in the vicinity of some islands, of which most of the larger ones are named, and at islands like Jeendana (Sumba) and Timor in the Timor Sea, shoals, rivers, some highlands shown pictorially, place names, Banda Sea, east end of Java, southermost part of Celebes, Madura, Baly (Bali), Lombock (Lombok), Sumbawa, Floris (Flores), and others. Also shown are three insets; (1) Straits of Sapy (Western Passage) at the eastern end of Sumbawa,with islands, rocks, some soundings and a bar scale in Miles, (2) Drawn horizonal view of the Burning Island, with location given, from a ship and (3) Drawn view of the entrance of the Strait of Larantooca, and drawn horizonal panoramic views from east of Java to Camara Island, just east of Sumbawa.
