Libraries and Archives Present: Books, Photos, Audio and Videos of Mr Lee Kuan Yew

Five decades after launching Singapore’s first public library in Queenstown, Singapore’s founding Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew’s vision of public libraries as learning sanctuaries for Singaporeans continues to resonate.

In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of his birth, explore NLB’s curated range of resources – presented through our libraries and archives, and in collaboration with partners – to learn more about his values and life, as well as his work in building the nation along with other founding fathers.

“Libraries and Archives Present: Books, Photos, Audio and Videos of Mr Lee Kuan Yew” is part of NLB’s ongoing LAB25 (Libraries and Archives Blueprint 2025) efforts to inspire everyone to discover and appreciate our Singapore Stories and collective experience.
