Articles of Agreements & Official Log Books
This series consists of official log books, agreements and lists of the crew of foreign --going ships. The official log book is maintained for either a Foreign Going or a Home-Trade Ship. The official log book is a register of the ship's details, the name of the master of the vessel, the ship's voyages, the crew list, reports on the crew's character, records of drills, records of inspection of crews, accommodation, etc. The agreements between masters of the vessels and seamen contain clauses concerning crew, and include the ship's particulars like its name, port of registry, tonnage, engine horse power, etc. The crew list records signatures of crew, their personal particulars, previous experience with the last ship, scale of provision for each chargeable by Consular Officers and Certificates/Endorsement made by a Consular Officers, made in pursuance of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance.
