Statistics on Hawker Licences
The contents of this file covering the period Sep 1974 – Feb 1979 were mainly monthly statistics on hawker licences which was sent by Head, Hawkers Department to PS (Env) and PS (Finance)(Development). Each of these month statistics contained information on the total number of markets/hawker centre licences as at the beginning of the month, the total number of application received, the total number of licences issued during the month, the total number of licences surrendered/cancelled during the month, and the stock of hawker licences at the end of the month. There were also lists of all the public and private markets and their respective year of completion. The document also contained list on the articles of sale sold by different hawkers.
