Commonwealth Broadcasting Association (CBA) - General Correspondence
263 Pages. The Commonwealth Broadcasting Association (CBA) is a voluntary Association of Public Service Broadcasting Organisations in Commonwealth countries around the world. The CBA's mission is to improve through collective studies and mutual assistance all aspects of broadcasting in the member countries; to provide basic information service on broadcasting matters to members and; to facilitate cooperation in programme exchanges , training and planning of coverage of sports and special events. The CBA General Assembly conference is held once every two years. The files cover correspondence between RTS and the CBA  Secretariat  on RTS participation in a CBA organised study visit to India from 3-17 April to study India's use of satellite to provided educational programmes to rural Indian villages; production of radio programmes for an  exchange programme to be broadcast on Commonwealth Day, telecast rights for the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton August 1978, the CBA General conference in Singapore in 1976 and contributions to CBA's quarterly magazine 'Combroad'.
