Amateur Radio Transmitters' Society
File contents are mainly the following external correspondence relating to Amateur Radio Transmitters' Society:

- a letter dated 13 March 1951 from Mr Hollis-Bee, Senior Executive Engineer, PWD (Public Works Department) informing Director (Telecoms) that 2 letters were circulated among licensed amateurs in Singapore.  These letters referred to a proposal to form a Singapore Amateur Radio Transmitters' Society (SARTS) with the aim and objective of encouraging research into the science of radio technology, and offering a combined unit of amateurs to assist Government in times of civil disturbances or national emergency.  Mr Hollis-Bee requested Director (Telecoms) to give a message of encouragement or approval at the first public meeting of the society to be held on 21 March 1951;
- membership information and the rules of the Hong Kong Amateur Radio Transmitting Society (ARTS).  Mr Hollis-Bee called a meeting on 4 April 1951 to discuss the rules of the Hong Kong ARTS which would also be served as basis for the rules of SARTS and all individuals who were interested in radio experimenting were cordially invited;
- January/February 1956 Bimonthly Issue of the Malayan ARTS which was found in 1952.  Telecommunications Department contributed articles on "Radio Side of the Singapore Airport" on 14 March 1956 & "Maritime Mobile Radio Services Provided at Singapore Radio" on 26 February 1957 to Bimonthly Journal of Malayan ARTS;
- Malayan ARTS's request for amateur T.V. channels approved by Frequency Assignment Committee, Malaya/Brit. Borneo Group on 7 October 1958 for temporary use of 50-51 MHz band by amateurs in Malaya and Singapore, with temporary increase of power from 10 to 20 watts until 31 January 1959;  
- approval for radio amateurs to set up a radio amateur emergency network granted by Director-General (Telecoms), Kuala Lumpur on 1 August 1964;
- an article on "Radio 'hams' plan network to operate during emergencies" published in The Malay Mail on 28 January 1965; and
- documents on "How to become a Radio Amateur in Singapore", "The Conditions of the Amateur Licence" and "Syllabus of the Radio Amateur Examination" prepared by Telecommunications Department for individuals who intended to become a radio amateur.
