The contents of file H8130/13 VOL 1 (Itinerant Hawker General) covering the period Sept 1973 to Mar 1983 (total of 331 pages), consist the correspondences between ministries for articles permitted for sale by itinerant hawkers. Itinerant hawkers were forbidden to carry on their trade in identified streets with new regulations/prohibitions by order. Usage of mobile ice-cream vans and licensed ice-cream source were discussed. Report of persistence in conducting static business may render licenses liable for cancellation.
