The functions of the CAAS include Regulatory and Advisory services; Air Services Development where the CAAS regulates and promotes the development of air transport; the Airport Management and Development where the CAAS plans and develops airport infrastructure and promotes and facilitates the development of air cargo; and Airspace Management and Organisation where the CAAS provides air traffic control service to ensure a safe, orderly and expeditious flow of aircraft movements within the Singapore Flight Information Region (FIR).
