Singapore. National Science & Technology Board
In January 1991, the National Science and Technology Board (NSTB) replaced the Science Council following the enactment of the National Science and Technology Board Act in November 1990. It assumed the expanded responsibilities of formulating and implementing long-term research and development strategies for Singapore.
On 5 January 2002, it was announced that NSTB had been reorganised and renamed the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR).
