The Tanjong Pagar Dock Board was established as the Singapore Harbour Board in 1913. It was constituted as a Statutory Corporation with responsibility for its own public heath, public work, and fire brigade. The Board consists of a Chairman (who is also General manager) and 10 other Members representing shipping and commercial interests.
