1. Eight global leaders in technology met with Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Istana on 28 June 2018. There was a good exchange of views on emerging trends and opportunities arising from rapid technological changes.
2. The group of technology experts was in Singapore to speak at the inaugural Singapore Defence Technology Summit, organised by the Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA). They were:

Dr Thomas Philbeck (Head of Science & Technology Studies, World Economic Forum, Switzerland)
3. Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen, Permanent Secretary (Defence Development) and Chairman of DSTA Mr Neo Kian Hong, Permanent Secretary (Smart Nation and Digital Government) Mr Ng Chee Khern and Chief Executive of DSTA Mr Tan Peng Yam were also in attendance at the call on PM Lee.
4. The Tech Summit, themed “Impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution on Defence and Security”, was well attended by some 400 delegates, including leading thought leaders, policymakers, industry CEOs and CTOs, entrepreneurs and academia from 17 countries.
