1.     Acting Minister for Education (Schools) and Senior Minister of State for Transport Mr Ng Chee Meng will be making a working visit to Melbourne, Australia, from 9 to 11 October 2016, to participate in the 23rd Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) World Congress. The ITS World Congress is an annual international meeting which brings together leading transport policymakers, and technology and business professionals, with the goal of reaching greater levels of safety, reliability, sustainability, and accessibility in transport systems worldwide. 

2.     During his visit, SMS Ng will participate in a high-level policy roundtable on ITS developments, and also meet with various officials to discuss transport issues and co-operation.

3.     SMS Ng will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Transport and the Land Transport Authority.
