23 winners in ‘Award’ category, highest in 29-year history of CEA

Singapore, 12 May 2015 – The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) will be according exemplary builders with 30 awards for construction excellence, which consists of 23 ‘Awards’ and seven ‘Certificates of Merit’ at the BCA Awards on 14 May 2015. The CEA recognises builders’ overall management of the projects, technical capability and innovations including the design complexity and the quality of the completed project.
2. In its 29-year history, the Construction Excellence Award (CEA) saw the highest number of projects for the ‘Award’ category. To-date, BCA has conferred 260 Awards and 223 Certificates of Merit since 1986. The record number of CEA is in line with consistent progress in quality and workmanship over the years, and a high percentage of productivity elements were incorporated.

BCA’s CONQUAS and Quality Mark help developers and builders shape better quality homes
Hat trick of Quality Champion (Platinum) awards for CDL and Woh Hup
First Quality Champion (Gold) award for Keppel Land and Lian Beng
Singapore, 12 May 2015 – Nine companies (four developers and five builders) will be named Quality Champions andreceive the Quality Excellence Award (QEA) this year from the Building and Construction Authority (BCA). Since its launch in 2013, the QEA has seen about 50% increased participation from the industry.
2. The QEA recognises leading progressive developers and builders who have embraced quality workmanship through the BCA Construction Quality Assessment System (CONQUAS) and Quality Mark (QM) Scheme, and have delivered high quality projects consistently. Starting this year, winners were also evaluated on the effectiveness of their customer management system in addressing homeowners’ feedback on workmanship quality.
