Officials from Singapore and Malaysia met on 26-27 August 2010 in Singapore for the Second Meeting of the Malaysia-Singapore Joint Implementation Team (MSJIT). The meeting discussed the implementation details arising from the agreement reached between the Prime Minister of Malaysia and the Prime Minister of Singapore at the Leaders’ Retreat on 24 May 2010.


The Singaporean delegation was led by Mr. Peter Ho, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Singapore, and the Malaysian delegation was led by Tan Sri Rastam Mohd Isa, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia.


Both sides had fruitful discussions and were pleased with the progress that has been achieved so far. It was agreed that the next MSJIT meeting would be held after Prime Minister Dato' Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak's visit to Singapore in September 2010.
