PHILIPPINE ARMY CHIEF MAKES INTRODUCTORY VISIT TO SINGAPORE
1. The Commanding General of the Philippine Army Lieutenant-General (LG) Romeo Tolentino made an introductory call on Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean this morning. LG Tolentino, who is here on a four-day introductory visit at the invitation of Chief of Army Brigadier-General Neo Kian Hong, also called on Chief of Defence Force Major-General Desmond Kuek earlier today.
2. LG Tolentino's visit underscores the warm and friendly ties between the Singapore Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Apart from visits, there are regular bilateral interactions, including the cross-attendance of professional courses by personnel of both armed forces.
