The Prime Minister of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, His Excellency Ratnasiri Wickremanayake, will make a working visit to Singapore from 30 January to 1 February 2007.  This is Prime Minister Wickremanayake's first visit to Singapore since he became Prime Minister in November 2005.

            During his visit, Prime Minister Wickremanayake will pay a courtesy call on President S R Nathan.  Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will meet and host a lunch for Prime Minister Wickremanayake.  Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean, as well as Minister for Manpower and 2nd Minister for Defence Ng Eng Hen, will also jointly meet Prime Minister Wickremanayake.
