FORMER RSAF CHIEF RECEIVES US LEGION OF MERIT

1.           Former Chief of Air Force (CAF), Major-General (MG) (NS) Lim Kim Choon, was presented today with the United States’ Legion of Merit (Degree of Commander). The award was conferred by the Commander of the Pacific Air Force, General Paul Hester, during his visit to Singapore.

 

2.         The Legion of Merit award recognises MG(NS) Lim’s efforts in strengthening the close relationship between the United States Air Force (USAF) and the Republic of Singapore Air Force, during his service as CAF from April 2001 to March 2006. MG(NS) Lim said that he was honoured by the award.

 

3.          Previous recipients of this award include Chief of Defence Force (CDF) Lieutenant-General (LG) Ng Yat Chung while he was Chief of Army, former CDF LG(NS) Lim Chuan Poh, Chief of Navy Rear-Admiral Ronnie Tay, and former CAF MG(NS) Raymund Ng.
