His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince of Brunei Darussalam, visited HQ Commando this afternoon, where he observed demonstrations by the Special Operations Force (SOF) and viewed the SAF’s Bionix and Light Strike Vehicle. His Royal Highness was later presented with an Ultimax 100 Section Assault Weapon as a memento of his visit by Defence Minister Teo Chee Hean. His Royal Highness also met Royal Brunei Armed Forces personnel attending SAF courses in Singapore.

2.         The Crown Prince had earlier called on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Istana. He also had a meeting with Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, following which he and his wife, Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah, were hosted to lunch by Mr and Mrs Goh.

3.         Their Royal Highnesses will be hosted to an official dinner by Minister and Mrs. Teo Chee Hean tonight. Wrapping up the visit, the Crown Prince will be visiting the Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies at the Nanyang Technological University tomorrow.
