His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince of Brunei Darussalam, visited Changi Naval Base (CNB) today. During the visit, His Royal Highness went on board the submarine RSS Chieftain and the Landing Ship Tank RSS Persistence, and was given a tour of CNB which included the High Performance Magazine.

2.         Earlier in the day, His Royal Highness visited the Ministry of Defence where he inspected a Guard of Honour and had a meeting with Defence Minister Teo Chee Hean and other senior MINDEF and SAF officials. His Royal Highness will meet Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew this afternoon, and call on President S R Nathan before being hosted to dinner by the President at the Istana.

3.         His Royal Highness is currently on a 5-day official visit to reaffirm the close bilateral ties between Brunei and Singapore. The Crown Prince is scheduled to call on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and meet Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong tomorrow, before visiting HQ Commando.

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince of Brunei Darussalam visited the submarine, RSS Chieftain while on a tour of Changi Naval Base.

HRH Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah was briefed on the functions and capabilities of RSS Persistence while on board the ship.
