VISIT BY HIS MAJESTY SULTAN HAJI HASSANAL BOLKIAH MU'IZZADDIN WADDAULAH

OF BRUNEI DARUSSALAM TO SINGAPORE ON 27 JANUARY 2005

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, will visit Singapore on 27 January 2005 to accept an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Laws from the National University of Singapore. The Honorary Degree has been awarded in recognition of His Majesty's achievements in leading Brunei Darussalam and for His Majesty's outstanding contributions to relations between Singapore and Brunei Darussalam.

His Majesty will be accompanied by Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Haja Saleha, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah and Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah, and other members of the Royal Family.

His Majesty will meet President S R Nathan. Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong and Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew will call on His Majesty separately. Prime Minister Lee will host lunch in honour of His Majesty while President Nathan will host dinner in his honour.
