COMMANDER OF QATAR EMIRI AIR FORCE MAKES INTRODUCTORY VISIT
Commander of the Qatar Emiri Air Force Brigadier-General (BG) Mubarak Mohammad Al-Khayarin called on Minister for Defence Rear-Admiral (NS) Teo Chee Hean at the Ministry of Defence this afternoon as part of his introductory visit to Singapore. While in MINDEF, BG Mubarak also called on Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant-General Ng Yat Chung and Chief of Air Force Major-General Lim Kim Choon. During his four-day stay in Singapore, BG Mubarak visited the Air Force School and Paya Lebar Air Base. He will also be visiting Changi Air Base tomorrow.
2. BG Mubarak’s visit underscores the warm defence relations between Singapore and Qatar, particularly between the two airforces. The Qatar Emiri Air Force and the Republic of Singapore Air Force have regular interactions, with visits by senior officials from both air forces.
