The dates for the eleven specified public holidays for 2004 are as follows:

The date, 11 November 2004, for Deepavali is based on calculations as before. It will be counter-checked with the Indian Almanacs when they are available towards the end of 2003 as the actual Deepavali date is based on the Indian Almanacs. Should there be a difference, the Ministry of Manpower will announce it accordingly towards the end of 2003.
