President Megawati Soekarnoputri of the Republic of Indonesia will make a working visit to Singapore from 26 to 27 August 2001. The visit to Singapore is part of President Megawati's visits to the ASEAN countries.

President Megawati will be accompanied by her husband, Mr Taufiq Kiemas, and a 60-member delegation, including the Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Gen (Ret'd) Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono; Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Dorodjatun Kuntjoro-Jakti; Coordinating Minister for People's Welfare Jusuf Kalla; Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Hassan Wirajuda; State Minister for State Enterprises Laksamana Sukardi; and State Secretary/Cabinet Secretary Bambang Kesowo.

President Megawati will meet President S R Nathan, Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong and Senior Minister Lee Kuan Yew in separate meetings.

President Nathan will host a lunch in honour of President Megawati and her delegation on 26 August 2001, while Prime Minister Goh will host a dinner the same evening.
