VISIT BY PRIME MINISTER NAVINCHANDRA RAMGOOLAM
OF MAURITIUS, 4 TO 5 AUGUST 1997
Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam of Mauritius will make an official visit to Singapore from 4-5 August 1997 at the invitation of Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong. This is the first official visit by Prime Minister Ramgoolam to Singapore. He will be accompanied by his wife, Mrs Veena Ramgoolam, Economic Development and Regional Cooperation Minister Rhundheersing Bheenick; senior government officials and businessmen.
Prime Minister Ramgoolam will call on President Ong Teng Cheong and Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong, and meet with Senior Minister Lee Kuan Yew on 4 August 1997. Prime Minister and Mrs Goh Chok Tong will host dinner in honour of Prime Minister Ramgoolam the same evening.
The Mauritius delegation will be visiting the Trade Development Board, the Maritime and Port Authority, the Singapore Tourist Promotion Board, the Housing Development Board, the Singapore Productivity and Standards Board and the National University of Singapore. The Mauritius delegation will also visit tourist attractions such as the Night Safari.
