Synopsis :

This programme features the story of "Nee Soon" - how the rural community in Nee Soon has grown to become a closely-knit people imbued with a strong sense of "gotong royong" or "spirit of helping each other", how this community has adapted to life in Yishun New Town, the new housing estate that bears the hanyu-pinyin name of Nee Soon. It also examines whether Yishun New Town can be to Singaporeans what the rural community in Nee Soon has been to the old residents.
