5. China: Cui Bin, general manager of China's Beijing Times, has been sacked for allegedly blackmailing Singapore furniture company, Da Vinci. Da Vinci says that it is the victim of a blackmail operation by the China Central Television journalist who broke the story. (00:11:50)
6. Singapore: The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) has launched its first major public fundraising campaign in six years. Instead of asking for donations to a general fund, it wants donors to sponsor the cost of an artificial kidney for patients. Sound bite of Eunice Tay (CEO, NKF). (00:16:04)
7. Singapore: The supply of fish from Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand for the new year is expected to slip to half its usual volume. The lower supplies are driving up prices for fresh fish and, overall prices are up between 30% and 50%. In contrast, the price of frozen fish is relatively stable. (00:18:39)
8. Singapore: MediaCorp, is holding its Family Day at Universal Studios Singapore. This is the first time it is held at a theme park and MediaCorp CEO Shaun Seow says the rides can be good learning experiences for all. (00:19:19)
