Synopsis :

Three segments covered in this programme:

1. Sing Singapore - looks at the people whose efforts contribute to the success thus far of the Sing Singapore campaign aimed at cultivating a sense of togetherness and identity among the different ethnicities though the singing sessions. Features co-ordinators of constituency choirs, volunteers and choirs from private organisations who promote the popularity of the songs and involve the participation of the people.

2. Burma On The Brink - looks at the events leading to the decision by Burma's General Ne Win to resign as chairman of the country's Socialist Programme Party. the only legal party in Burma since 1964, and the selection of Sein Lwin to replace General Ne Win.

3. Constituency Profile - Kaki Bukit - looks at how a comprehensive approach to solving problems which come with living in a Housing and Development Board (HDB) estate has improved life in Kaki Bukit including the conscious effort to forge a cohesive community.
