Synopsis :

The programme 'Lagu Dan Traian Seni Pusaka' (Traditional Song and Dance) is part of the 'Sinar Cemerlang' (Rays of Excellence) series for Primary 6 students. It features songs and dances performed for religious and cultural occasions, as well as for recreation all over the world.

This programme shows how the Singapore government plays a role in conserving traditional song and dance. For example, the government organises a song and dance segment in the Singapore Youth Festival, which is held at the National Theatre. The Ministry of Culture also organises musical performances for the public at the Singapore Conference Hall.
