Synopsis :1. At the combined graduation parade for personnel from the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF), Minister for Defence Howe Yoon Chong says that this is the first time that the RSAF is holding a combined parade for 38 pilots, 34 air maintenance officers, nine air traffic controllers and eight air defence controllers. He points out that every pilot should realise that he needs the assistance of highly skilled ground staff to accomplish his mission. It is therefore fitting that the RSAF is giving public recognition to its maintenance officers at this graduation parade. With improved teamwork between pilots and ground staff, one can look forward to higher quality of maintenance and servicing. The Minister feels that the level of excellence of RSAF's operations will determine the capability of the airforce. He congratulates all officers participating in the parade.
