Synopsis :1. Land Transport Authority (LTA) announced changes to the Vehicle Quota System. Certificate of Entitlement (COE) quota from the actual vehicle de-registrations in the most recent six-month period will be recycled back into the system. This is to better manage the vehicle population growth.
2. Ministry of Manpower will adjust employment subsidies for low wage workers. Adjustments will also be made to the Central Provident Fund (CPF) Investment Scheme - funds exceeding $40,000 in Special Accounts can be used for investment.
3. Ministry of Manpower expects more jobs to be created across industries as compared to last year.
4. Inflation rate in China hit a 16-month-high in February. The government may implement more cooling measures.
