Synopsis :Hot Trax, a music programme featuring recent releases is hosted by popular radio deejay and talk show host William Xavier. In this edition, William focuses on the album 'Shine a Light' by the popular English rock band, The Rolling Stones. 'Shine a Light' is the soundtrack to The Rolling Stones concert film of the same name. The film was directed by award-winning director Martin Scorsese whose involvement elevated 'Shine a Light' far above the status of just another concert film. The album reflects The Rolling Stones' performing prowess which has strengthened over the years. We hear several songs from the album like 'Jumpin Jack Flash,'a single first released in 1968, and the Stones' version of the Smokey Robinson standard 'Just My Imagination.' Another song in the album 'Tumbling Dice' was written by group members Mick Jagger and Keith Richards in 1972, while the song 'Live with Me' features Mick Jagger performing with American singer-actress Christina Aguilera. Other songs in the programme include the Rolling Stones' 1965 single 'I Can Get No Satisfaction' which made the group a premiere rock band, and the title track from the album, 'Shine a Light'.
