Synopsis :Singapop, a programme that showcases Singapore's home-grown talent is hosted by well-known radio deejay, music reviewer, singer and pop columnist Chris Ho who was named most outstanding Asia Pacific radio personality by the Australasian Broadcasting Arts & Sciences in 1987. In this programme, Chris features music from three Singapore bands: Lunarin, Great Spy Experiment and Jacksteady and the Funk Family. From Lunarin, we hear Linda Ong on lead vocals in an acoustic version of the song 'Dry'. Chris also interviews drummer Carlos from the band Great Spy Experiment who tells us about the history of the group and its preference for dance music. We hear the band in the song 'Captain Funky Curls' inspired by a pilot friend in the airline industry. The band which is influenced by British pop groups also performs 'Class A Love Affair', a song about our relationship with cigarettes and a demo version of the song 'Flower Show Riots'. Finally, a soft piece of rock music called 'God is Breath' from the band Jack Steady and the Funk Family.
