Synopsis :

Boon Meng, a satirist, is beaten up by a group of unknown men. While he recuperates at home, a number of visitors turn up bearing gifts and well wishes. Boon Meng is touched as these visitors have all previously been victims of his essays; one of them even brings Boon Meng a bottle of ‘miracle’ liniment, supposedly a secret recipe passed down through generations in his family. Boon Meng’s uncle eventually tells Boon Meng that these people visited him only because they were curious and wanted to see how badly he has been beaten up; Boon Meng discovers that even the bottle of ‘miracle’ liniment is fake.
