    29 Aug - 3 Sep 1945: After signing the truce at Rangoon the convoy heads towards Penang and Singapore. Sep 1945: Indian troops on ships and convoy arrives in Singapore. Sep 1945: Allies enter Singapore. 10 Sep 1945: Lady Shenton Thomas arrives from Singapore. 6 Sep 1945: Demolition of Indian National Army (INA) Memorial at Connaught Drive by the sappers of the 123rd Indian Infantry Brigade. 6 Sep 1945: Japanese armies evacuate from Singapore. 6 Sep 1945: Surrender of Japanese forces at Fort Canning. Sep 1945: Allies enter Singapore. Sep 1945: Surrender on board HMS Sussex in Singapore. 29 Sep 1945: Japanese working parties. Undated: Japanese Secret police jailed at Thaipang.  5 Oct 1945: Fire at Kallang Airport.  20 Oct 1945: Japanese prisoners-of-war (POWs) marching through town under guard and Japanese aircraft dispersed amongst residential houses around Kallang Airport. 11 Sep 1945: Allied Supreme Commander Admiral Lord Louis Mountbatten arrives in Singapore with General Slim. 12 Sep 1945: Singapore surrender parade and ceremony.
