Synopsis :The documentary consists of 2 segments. The first segment shows the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Girl Guides Association in Singapore in 1987. The guest of honour for the anniversary celebration was Mrs Wee Kim Wee, the wife of the Singapore President and included prize-giving ceremony, demonstration of skills learnt by various girl guides groups such as pitching a tent, conducting first aid, singing, cheering and clapping.
The second segment chronicles the opening of Camp Christine in June 1988, the new campsite for the Singapore Girl Guides Association. The girl guides were split into various groups and learnt skills such as pitching a tent, bandaging a head wound, starting a fire and doing CPR. Opening of Camp Christine campsite was officiated by Mr Dhanabalan with various speeches by representatives of the Singapore Girl Guides Association, signing of congratulatory message book by invited guests, mingling of guests, tour of the campsite by Mr Dhanabalan, Mr Dhanabalan chatting with a group of brownies, Mr Dhanabalan joining in with various girl guides groups in singing and cheering, trying out food prepared by the guides, departure of Mr Dhanabalan.
