  • Synopsis :

    Story narrated by Singapore storyteller Lee Dai Soh

    (1) Lum Tse Yun regrets lifting the spell after knowing that Fah Wan Hong will suffer the effects. But little does he know that Ng Sau, the daughter of the Ng Kong the magician has taken a interest in him and has also cast a spell for him to return to her in future through the drink she offer him. Fah seeks her mother's help after she discovers that the marks on her face. Her mother, Mdm Cheung, manages to transfer the effects of the spell to herself while they find a solution. Lum looks for Fah upon his return and expresses his wish to marry her. She brings him to her mother who asks him to touch her face so the spell can be lifted but due to the other spell that was cast on him by Ng, he is not able to contact her physically. Furious, Cheung vows to bring Ng's spirit back which means she will die.
    (2) Mdm Cheung goes into a trance and detaches her head from her body so it can fly to search for Ng Sau. Both Ng Kong and his daughter Ng Sau are unable to deal with Cheung with their limited powers. Fortunately, they were able to escape Cheung when her hair is snarled among the branches of some bamboo. Unable to free herself, Cheung's head begins to shrivel with the rising sun. Fah Wan Hong returns to her mother's place but is still unable to wake Lum Tse Yun up.
