Synopsis :1. Singapore: Two Singaporeans have been killed and 16 are missing. Hundreds more are not contactable and stranded in various parts of the region. Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said it is difficult to contact them as communication lines are down. (00:04:18)
2. World: The death toll is still increasing with the count at 50 000 now. Many of the dead are children. (00:07:24)
3. Singapore: A Singaporean shared her experience in Penang and a Japanese woman, who was diving at Aceh, shared her experience. (00:07:57)
4. Singapore: United Nations (UN) is calling it the biggest relief operation ever mounted because of the sheer number of countries affected. There is overwhelming response to an urgent appeal from the Sri Lanka High Commission in Singapore. Various organizations in Singapore are doing their part to help. (00:10:04)
5. Singapore: Singapore Red Cross has raised more than $260 000 since yesterday. Corporations are also donating to the Singapore Red Cross. (00:12:21)
6. Singapore: Individual Singaporeans are collecting clothes and money to send to affected countries. (00:12:57)
7 Singapore: Singapore is putting in up to $2 million in aid for the tsunami-hit countries. Relief supplies are being sent to Medan, Indonesia. More supplies will be sent to other affected countries. (00:14:47)
8. World: The global relief effort is massive. United Nations (UN) has sent hundreds of planes carrying supplies to affected countries. Various countries have pledged millions of dollars to help the affected countries. Logistics is problematic as a lot of places are unreachable. (00:15:08)
9. World: There is a rush to find and bury the dead in the stricken areas as experts warned of the risk of water borne diseases if the rotting bodies are left lying in the water. (00:16:13)
10. Thailand: Thailand has declared three days of national mourning for the tsunami victims. 700 of the dead are foreigners. Dead bodies are still found everyday. Thailand is launching an inquiry on why there is no warning of the earthquake. (00:20:00)
11. Thailand: Survivors are slowly flying out of Thailand. Help centres are sending volunteers to assist the survivors with their departures. (00:20:32)
12. Singapore: Singaporeans welcomed back relatives who survived the tsunami with tears at Changi Airport. Some Singaporeans are still missing. (00:22:45)
13. Singapore: Groups of foreign workers gathered at Tekka Mall to await news of their loved ones in the tsunami-hit areas. The government has called for employers to assist the foreign workers. This applies to maid employment agencies. (00:24:42)
14. Business: SBS Transit has ordered a new fleet of double-decker buses from Volvo. They will replace the old fleet of buses. (00:28:32)
