Synopsis :1. Singapore: The Singapore economy grew a lower-than-expected 1.5% in the first quarter. The services sector is badly hit and the situation could worsen due to the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) outbreak. Singapore will make a revised forecast in two weeks together with measures for businesses hit by SARS. (00:03:56)
2. Singapore: Some companies have taken initiatives to provide financial help for workers. Comfort Taxi will give a $10 daily rental rebate. Member of Parliament of Ang Mo Kio Group Representation Constituency (GRC), Seng Han Thong, said the financial help should be taken as a short term measure to tide over this period. (00:04:27)
3. Singapore: Ministry of Manpower (MOM) is introducing mandatory ten-day quarantine for foreign workers to prevent an outbreak of SARS. The measures also include new work permits and employment passes from SARS-hit areas. (00:07:02)
4. Singapore: There are seven new cases of SARS bringing the total cases to 133. 47 patients are hospitalized, 13 in intensive care. The Ngee Ann Polytechnic student is out of intensive care and the number on home quarantine is up from 286 to 490. (00:08:58)
5. Singapore: Ministry of Health (MOH) has traced the unusual source of SARS outbreak in Singapore General Hospital (SGH). The source is a 60-year-old man who came into contact with a SARS patient. (00:10:23)

11. Business: Singapore Business Federation chief believed that government rebates for businesses are not necessary at this moment.
