  • Synopsis :

    Arrival of guests at Trinity Theological College (TTC) at 7, Mount Sophia Road; guests at auditorium; choir performing a short anthem; congregation singing hymn; procession of officials; prayer led by two Masters-of-Ceremony (MCs); welcome address; responsive reading by congregation; reading of the Bible; MCs welcoming ninth Principal and Vice Chairman of Board of Governors and Bishop of Anglican Diocese of Singapore, John Chew.

    Choir singing hymn (excerpts); MCs speaking about the current chapel built in 1969,  the chapel in the new TTC campus at Upper Bukit Timah and the impending move of the communion table to the new campus; reading of Litany of Thanksgiving and Act of Commencement of the Re-location of the Communion Table to the new chapel; prayer.

    MCs expressing gratitude to National Heritage Board for recognising TTC as a historic site; CEO of National Heritage Board Lim Siam Kim's speech on the importance of marking historic sites and how the vision of TTC was conceived in Changi Prison during the Japanese Occupation to its inception in October 1948; speech by the Bishop of the Methodist Church and Chairman of TTC's Board of Governors, Dr Robert Solomon, on the Mount Sophia  site being used by the church mainly for theological education for over 100 years;  unveiling of plaque to mark TTC at Mount Sophia; photography; closing hymn; guests leaving chapel.
