  • Synopsis :

    Hallway outside the Speaker's office; close-up of a painting depicting the opening of the 1st session of the 8th parliament by President Wee Kim Wee in 1992.
    Inside the 'Members Room' where members of parliament meet for tea breaks and discussions; detail of high ceilings, cornices and plasterwork; tall windows; plenty of sofas, chairs and tables; door opens into a well-stocked kitchen.
    Interior of the dome of the Supreme Court; footage follows the camera crew as they climb up a metal spiral staircase to the dome and then ascend it via ladders; at the top they emerge to a view of the Old Parliament House, the Padang, Marina Bay and the Singapore River. Inside the steel trusses, stairways and ladders form an intricate web-like patttern visible from below.
