    Outside of pavilion Ward 13; doctor relates how in 1909 the ward was an honorary ward for the sick and poor people, and soon after World War II chronic 'interesting' patients were warded here; he mentioned that these patients suffered from illnesses brought about by syphilis of the neurological system and when these diseases no longer existed, the ward became a kind of museum for teaching medical students; the doctor also said that in the 1980's a small psychiatric unit, for non-violent psychiatric patients, was established at the hospital.
    Outside Ward 13 the doctor relates how in the 1970's it was discovered that medical health servants were growing marijuana here for patients and the practice was quickly stopped; inside Ward 13, doctor relates how it was here, before the war, that vitamin B1 was first given to beriberi patients and also in 1945 the first dose of penicillin was administered by one doctor to his colleague who had an acute lung abscess.
    After the war, the ward was used for patients suffering from tuberculosis and converted to serve general medical patients in the late 1960's; Short discourse by the doctor at Department of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy on the establishment of a rehabilitation centre at Mandalay Road; view of current equipment and patients undergoing treatment.
