Synopsis :Yu, a girl in her late teens, and Guang are good friends since childhood. After her parents passed away, Yu, accompanied by Guang, leaves Singapore for Hongkong to find her mother's siblings. They first arrive at Yuan's house and Yuan, a wealthy banker, is Yu's mother's elder brother. Shortly after their arrival, Yuan quietly instructs a servant to chase Guang away simply because Guang is not well-dressed. Incidentally, Yu's father, Quan, was a painter who was humbly born. Because of his background, Liang, Yu's mother's wealthy uncle, was very opposed to Quan's marriage with his niece then.
