  • Synopsis :

Jiaxing is situated in the Zhejiang province and it is famous for its picturesque scenery and rich historical sites. The Nanhu or the Mandarin Ducks Lake is located in the south of Jiaxing city. During the reign of Emperor Jiaqing in the Ming dynasty, an island was piled up with mud and debris when the city moat was dug. Then, an elegant building which imitated the ancient Yanyulou was built on the island. Emperor Qianlong of the Qing dynasty paid six visits to the Yanyulou during his tours to the southeast of China.
