Synopsis :

Xian, a writer, and his pregnant wife, Qing, live in a tenement block. High inflation coupled with low income spells financial problems for Xian. No wonder he is angry when the main tenant announces a rental hike again. As Xian runs out of the room to vent his frustration, Qing tries to stop him but falls accidentally and suffers a miscarriage. Later, Xian goes to borrow money from a friend to settle the hospital bill but the latter has relocated, so he takes a bus home. Little does he know that he would end up fighting with the driver.
