Synopsis :

Shortly after, Fan's mother and Qiu learn that Lan and her aunt's family have gone missing. For some reason, Fan's mother soon moves to live with Qiu. Thereafter, they lose touch with Lan. On Fan's death anniversary, Fan's mother goes to the Xiangsi River to pray. She is shocked when Fan shows up unexpectedly. After explaining to her how he escaped death, Fan asks her about Lan. After the war ends, Fan resumes teaching in the school. He misses Lan very much so he goes to the Xiangsi River whenever he is free.
