Synopsis :Fan starts teaching when the school reopens. As for Lan, she completes high school a year later. Before that, the city has fallen into Japanese army hands. Meanwhile, Fan and Lan fall for each other and they become lovers. Unfortunately, Lan falls ill again. One day a Japanese officer, Sanchuan, shows up at Lan's door while Fan is persuading her to take the bitter medicine. Sanchuan later takes Fan away for no reason, but asks Lan to look for him if she wishes Fan to be released.
