Synopsis :A newly-wed couple, De and Zhen, are separated by the turmoils of war. After the war, De returns to his village, but there is no news of his wife. Five years later, Zhen suddenly shows up and De is overjoyed. When asked, Zhen tells him what happened to her during the five-year period. De does not suspect that she is lying until he learns from a neighbour one day that Zhen always goes out while he is working in the farm. Hence, he quietly follows her the next day and uncovers the truth shortly afterwards.
